A family in College Grove is searching for an experienced Nanny/Family Assistant to provide part-time care for their toddler and baby due in November. The position will start in September and the typical schedule will be Tuesday/Thursday + 1 additional day with 25 hours guaranteed per week. Their toddler is in MDO on Mondays/Wednesdays, so Tuesdays/Thursdays will primarily involve childcare, and the additional day will involve more Family Assistant tasks. They are flexible on the additional day depending on what works best for the Nanny’s schedule. There will be opportunity for extra hours as well as traveling with them a couple of times per year on vacation. They are offering $30-$35 gross per hour, guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick time, and paid holidays!

Their ideal candidate is kind, gentle, and skilled at being an extension of the parents. They describe their family and household as having a good flow, and they are seeking a candidate who can integrate themselves into the system they have in place. They are looking for someone who is proactive and takes initiative once they get a feel for how the family likes things done. They highly value a Nanny who creatively comes up with activities and various arts and crafts such as making a birthday card for a relative or a holiday themed craft. Their parenting style is very hands on, loving, calm, and low stress. They love Montessori, though they are not above having some plastic light up toys – it’s all about balance! They have family that live just a few doors down and love for their nanny to plan play dates with the cousins and walks to the neighborhood park.

The job duties will include anything and everything related to the children and household including planning developmentally appropriate activities, family laundry, dishes, bottles, picking up online grocery order, organizing, and more. They have a regular house cleaner, so no deep cleaning involved! There is a lot of tag teaming involved, so interested candidates must be comfortable working alongside mom as well as being just as passionate about Family Assistant tasks as they are working with children. The parents truly like to spend quality time with their children, so helping maintain the background work is an important part of this job. They are looking for someone to ideally grow with their family for years to come!

DETAILS:
- Schedule: Tuesdays/Thursdays full days + 1 additional day for a total of 25 guaranteed hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of Professional Nanny/Family Assistant experience
- Recent toddler and infant experience
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Confident Swimmer
- Non-smoker
- Clean background and driving record
- Stellar references
- Tdap and flu vaccinations required; Covid vaccination preferred

COMPENSATION:
- $30-$35 gross per hour, DOE for 25 guaranteed hours per week
